Fall Fest 2026!

Back for a third year - with the Barrage Band

Fall is one of the best times to be in Gwynns Falls/Leakin Park — and we’re celebrating with an extra-special Second Sunday Fall Festival! 

This year Barrage Band - Baltimore’s famous street band will play FallFest. Their sets include Eastern European, Klezmer, New Orleans second line, funky folk, and punk covers. So, get ready for some family dancing.

Enjoy all the regular Second Sunday adventures - the miniature steam trains, family-friendly nature activities, and guided exploration.

Second Sunday tips

1. The Carrie Murray Nature Center has special hours on Second Sundays - from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM. So you can stop by and visit after the trains stop running. 
2. At peak time, around noon, the parking lot at 1920 Eagle Drive (by the tennis courts) can fill up. It's easy to park at Sloman Drive and walk past the train tracks. 
3. The closest public restroom is at the Carrie Murray Nature Center. It's a short walk from the trains. Visit our info table and we'll point the way out for you.
4. If the weather is bad or uncertain check The Chesapeake & Allegheny Live Steamers Facebook page for event status.
