Join us for a 2 mile hike & learn about the ecology of the paw paw tree! We will meet at the Eagle Drive entrance to the Park (if driving, park at the tennis courts) and look for us at the picnic tables between the tennis courts and the playground. We will hike along the forested paths, so wear sturdy shoes and bring your filled water bottle.
We will travel through the paw paw groves of the park, looking for fruits on the trees and on the ground. The amount of fruit varies greatly year to year, but if we are lucky we will be able to taste some of this iconic American native fruit!
Portapotties are available at the tennis courts and along the way. Kids are welcome, but all participants should be able to keep up along unpaved hiking trails along uneven terrain.
Please register so that we can keep you updated in the event of a weather related schedule change.
Where is the park?
