This is a Carrie Murray Nature Center event taking place in Gwynns Falls-Leakin Park. Full info and registration available here.
Step into the past on a moonlit journey through Gwynns Falls Leakin Park. This guided evening program begins with a short hike to two historic sites near the nature center, where reenactors will bring to life the stories of those laid to rest more than a century ago. By lantern light, you’ll hear tales of love, loss, and the lives that shaped this land.
After the hike, visit the FamilySearch table at Ridge to explore your own roots. Learn how to trace your ancestors, uncover family histories, and discover surprising connections between your story and the past around you. As the sun sets and the evening deepens, we’ll gather around the fire to reflect, share, and enjoy the warmth before saying goodnight.
Wear sturdy shoes for uneven terrain, and bring a flashlight or headlamp for this unique blend of history, storytelling, and personal discovery.
Where is the park?
